I had mentioned this before and I think it is a great feature: Suzuki offers the extended warrantte any time up to the end of the first year. In fact at the 9 month point, they sent a letter reminding me that I had 3 months to go before the offer ran out.
I did not buy the warranty because I was not having problems. But if I was, you could be sure I would go for it. For people looking at reasons to buy a new bike that is a real consideration that Suzuki stands behind the product.
Good luck getting rid of your leaks. At least it sounds like the dealer is doing what he can.
